Introduction to the Halls

Jing Loong Shan Wan Foh Shih Monastery features five grand halls, each holds a unique symbolic meaning and connotation of belief. The layout of the hall is not only solemn and dignified but also filled with a rich Buddhist cultural atmosphere Buddha Shrine Hall, being the main shrine hall enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha, and Amitabha Buddha, embodying wisdom and compassion of the Buddha. The Great Compassion Hall, dedicated to the Thousand-Hand and Thousand-Eyed Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, symbolizes compassion and salvation. The Ksitigarbha Hall (Di Zang Hall) honors Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, representing filial piety and the vow to save sentient beings. The Heavenly Kings Hall, enshrining Maitreya Bodhisattva, Skanda Bodhisattva, and the Four Heavenly Kings, protects the Dharma and ensures peace. Lastly, the Memorial Tower (Columbarium) serves as a memorial for ancestral tablets, promoting remembrance and respect. Devotees cordially invited to visit, worship, and join in the blessings and joy of the Dharma.

Introduction to the Halls of Jing Loong Shan Wan Foh Shih Monastery

Jing Loong Shan Wan Foh Shih Monastery is a solemn Buddhist place of worship that encompasses Buddhist culture and faith. Its architectural layout cleverly blends traditional and modern designs, providing a conducive environment for practice and the learning of Dharma. The main hall, the Buddha Shrine Hall, enshrines Shakyamuni Buddha and serves as the centre of the monastery for experiencing the wisdom and compassion of the Buddha. The Ksitigarbha Hall is dedicated to Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, where regular chanting sessions of the Ksitigarbha Sutra are held to accumulate merits for the sentinent beings and offer deliverance for the departed. The Great Compassion Hall, centered on Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva, symbolizes immensurable compassion and offers a place for devotees to pray for peace and health. The Heavenly King Hall, the most significant hall of the monastery, enshrines Maitreya Buddha at its center, flanked by the Four Heavenly Kings, with Skanda Bodhisattva enshrined at the back, symbolizing protection, peace, and harmony. The Memorial Tower (Columbarium) is especially designed for enshrining ancestral tablets and ashes of the deceased, embodying the Buddhist culture of filial piety. It also offers services for memorial rituals such as the "Sevens," hundred day, and anniversary prayers. Jing Loong Shan Wan Foh Shih Monastery is not only a holy place for promoting the Dharma but also a place for practice and fostering a bond with the Buddha. Devotees are welcome to visit, pay respects, and learn the teachings, sharing the joy of the Dharma.
